Time for another round up of what I have been loving lately! With springtime bloom in full effect, I have happily traded my sweat pants for biker shorts and warm soup recipes for colorful salad bowls. Here are my top five favorites for this month.
I have been an avid Hoka wearer for the past couple of years, but I just recently joined the On Cloud train. I had tried on some of the classic Ons a few months ago, but didn’t love how hole-y the bottoms were, and the rounded top of the shoe felt weird on my foot. I decided to try the SuperNovas after my mom gave a great review on them, and I absolutely love them! At first, I just wore them to walk around and go to the gym. I started running in them, and love the support, light-weight nature of the shoes. I highly recommend this style.
As I have mentioned before, my roommates and I love cheffing up new recipes in the kitchen. Our most recent culinary masterpiece was Rachael DeVaux’s Greek Turkey Burgers. We made burger bowls -- a yummy Greek Goddess Salad, with these chargers on top. You mix red onion, red bell pepper, goat cheese, and dill into the turkey meat and then pan fry them in avocado oil. They are incredible!
These packets are a natural gatorade, complete with sodium, potassium, and magnesium. What a lot of people don’t understand is that sodium is a big hydration booster. Taking Kelly LeVeque’s recommendation, I drink half of one of these packets in a big glass of water (they are very potent!) every morning before I workout. Not only does it hydrate me, it also tastes good and causes me to drink more water!
Over the summer, I got really into sparkling waters. It was fun to explore all different flavors and brands, but I have landed on a definite favorite. Topo Chico is next level in terms of bubbles and crispness. Pair it with a splash of lime juice, and you will never go back! It is also a great addition to cocktails. Keep an eye out for their new seltzer released just last month!
5. Hair Clips
If you have seen me on a daily basis, this favorite is no surprise. I put my hair back in clips like these almost daily -- not only does it look cute, it helps me feel more put together. I have found a few on amazon that I love, but my favorites are from Anthropologie. The art of twisting all of your hair to fit into them while also holding back shorter front pieces is the fruit of lots of practice.
